A healthy post-race reception, well-being stations along the course, a
non-competitive atmosphere and amazing swag will make this event an
unforgettable experience for women of all ages and fitness levels.

"I just wanted to say thank you for such an amazing event
on Saturday. This was my first ever run and I cannot believe how well
organized it was, right from initial registration to the end of the day on
Saturday. I loved the informative newsletters, the "pre gift" of the foot
butter from Rocky Mountain Soap Co and all the loot on the day of the race. It
was all so exciting and such a buzz for me. I can't believe how generous the
community was, not a surprise for Canmore, but still......so much stuff! I
loved the aromatherapy towels at the end of the race...what a great touch.
The effort put in by all the volunteers was outstanding and I loved to
see the supporters along the route. The chocolate station was a fave for me!

"We came from Lethbridge as a group of 8 women and had a FABULOUS time in
Canmore. The event itself was so well organized and run, right down to the
wonderful smelling towels at the end. The package of Mountain Soap items were
just great and we had to go to the store to buy some more so other people in
our life could enjoy them too.
The meal at the end of the race was perfect. What a wonderful way to
promote Breast cancer awareness.

Our story of inspiration
Here is Jane's story. She is a major inspiration for the run and our goal is to get more people like Jane to live an active & healthy lifestyle.
Karina Birch & Cam Baty, owners of the Rocky Mountain Soap Company "I started running in June 2007, just before my 48th birthday. I could not run to the end of the street (about 100 meters) without stopping at least 3 times.
On february 6, 2008 I ran 10 kilometers without stopping. To me this was a huge accomplishment, made possible because the Rocky Mountain Soap Company started a running club at work.
I thought, "I can do this", and just kept at it. It sure helps to have everyone at the company cheering for me and all the high fives keep me going. I am really looking forward to running the 11 kilometers in our first RMSC Woman's Run." Jane Green |
