2008 Testimonials:
"Wow, I just wanted to give
you a big pat on the back for a well organized and run (no pun intended) race
today! You have definitely started something and put the bar pretty high for
yourselves for next year. Everyone was so friendly, positive and the course
was well marked. I thought that the goody bags were awesome and the food was
the best I have ever had at a post run event. I can’t wait to see the
registration for this event open up for next year, I’m sure you will sell it
out the first day when word of mouth (and you know how women talk!) gets
around."
Charlene Highfield, Airdrie
Thanks for putting on such a fabulous event on such a beautiful course!
All the effort and thought that went into your event was well
appreciated! The chocolates on the course, the scented washcloths at the
finish line, the bag full of wonderful RMS products, the delicious & healthy
lunch (and even appetizers while waiting in food line!!!), and the nik nak
necklaces instead of medals- brilliant! Who ever thought that a woman could
feel pampered after running 11K? We sure did, and we'll gladly be back again
next year!
Tanya Dixon, Calgary
Our story of inspiration: “Here is Jane’s story: She is a major inspiration for the run and our goal is to get more people like Jane to live an active & healthy lifestyle:” Karina Birch & Cam Baty, owners of the Rocky Mountain Soap Company "I started running in June 2007, just before my 48th birthday. I could not run to the end of the street (about 100 meters) without stopping at least 3 times. On february 6, 2008 I ran 10 kilometers without stopping. To me this was a huge accomplishment, made possible because the Rocky Mountain Soap Company started a running club at work. I thought, "I can do this", and just kept at it. It sure helps to have everyone at the company cheering for me and all the high fives keep me going. I am really looking forward to running the 11 kilometers in our first RMSC Woman's Run." Jane Green
