How do I know if I am registered?
Confirmation of your race entry will be emailed to you. To ensure your entry has been received, you can check the online registration list.
How many people are expected to participate in the event?
We are expecting approximately 300-500 women to run and walk.

What will the weather be like?
As you are aware, weather can be variable and often unpredictable in this City! Please plan ahead in order to make sure you are dressed appropriately (ie. we will go ahead, rain or shine!).

At what elevation is the race course?
Burnaby Lake Regional Park is approximately 120m above sea level.
I'm planning to run with a stroller, will the trails allow this?
If you have signed up for the 5km race and wish to run with a stroller, this is not a problem! These trails are hard packed dirt and should be no problem with your running stroller. We just ask that you hang back at the start line, and try not to block other runners on the path. There are stairs on the 10km course, so strollers are not recommended.
Where can I stay if I'm coming from out of town?

How do I get my race package?
Follow this link for more information about race package pick ups. We ask that all participants from Vancouver pick up their race packages before the event if possible, in order to reduce confusion on the race day.
Can I pick up race packs for my entire group, or does everyone need to come retrieve their own?
It's not a problem for you to pick up race packs for others – please bring a list with names and race day/distance, sorted by last name. This will make the pick up quicker!
Is it too late to change the distance I want to race?
Not at all. Due to the high volume of runners we ask that you let us know prior to race package pick up if you would like to change your course distance. NOTE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRANSFER INTO ANY RACES THAT ARE ALREADY SOLD OUT.

Can I transfer my spot?
Refunds or cancellations are not accepted. You are however able to transfer your spot. Click here and scroll down to the Transfers section for more information - make sure you are looking at the Vancouver side of the page!
Where should I park?
Help us make this event even greener and walk, ride, or take public transportation to the event! If you need to drive, consider a carpool with your friends. Public Parking is available at Burnaby Lake Regional Park, near the Burnaby Sports Complex - volunteers will direct you. Enter from Kensington Ave on Sprott Rd or Joe Sakic Way.
Where is the start and finish area?
The Half Marathon, 10km and 5km races will start and finish in the athletic fields near the Burnaby Rugby Club, located at the west end of Burnaby Lake Regional Park. This will also be the expo area with a variety of vendors.
Will there be water/aid stations?
Bring your own water bottle and help us save paper cups! Water stations will be set up at the start/finish area, and every 3-4km along the 5km, 10km and Half Marathon routes.
Course Marshals and First Aid Attendants will be stationed along all race courses and will have contact with the main first aid station at the start/finish area. Please ask them for help if needed!
Can I walk instead of run?
Walkers are welcome to take part in either distance event. We ask that walkers kindly line themselves up at the back of the starting pack.
Strollers and children - are they allowed?
You can push an off-road stroller on the 5km course, and we will ask you to stay at the back of the pack. There are a few sets of stairs over bridges on the 10km course. If your children are participating as walkers/runners, they should register. We also have the Fast and Female Girls' Run taking place on race day - a special event for girls aged 5-12 who aren't able to complete the 5km distance.
Can I have my iPod on while walking/running?
We don’t recommend wearing ear buds during the event, as you may not be able to hear course marshals with important information.
Who receives awards?
The top 3 finishers for each age group in the half marathon, 10km and 5km races will receive an award. Age groups are: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
All participants will receive a Rocky Mountain Soap Company swag bag upon completion of the race. Great draw prizes will also be given out throughout the event and during the awards ceremony.
Where do I return my timing chip?
Your timing chip is disposable and will be attached to your paper bib.
What is there to do after the race?
Local food vendors will offer you a delicious and healthy post race snack at no additional charge. Make sure you to get in line once you are ready to eat. The bottom of your bib will be used as your ticket to get food.
There will also be an expo set up with several sponsor and exhibitor tables with lots of great products to sample.
Will I be able to purchase event souvenirs?
There will be a Rocky Mountain Soap Women's Run set up in the expo area, with stylish t-shirts, sporty buffs, visors, water bottles and more!
How will I get my results?
Following the event, race results will be posted on our Results page. Timing chips attached to your bibs provide accurate results for your personal race time.
Will I be able to get a race portrait?
Yes, a professional photographer will be taking photos at the finish line. These will be made available online for viewing and purchase after the event.
How will I register for next year's event?
Online registration always opens on January 1st. We will send a reminder newsletter to you in the weeks leading up to registration opening for the year after you participated. You can also follow us on Facebook to be notified of next year's event as soon as it is announced!
